Arguably, one of the quickest and most effective ways to detoxify our bodies is through Liver/Gallbladder Cleansing. In just a day and a half, and for less than $10, you can cleanse both your liver and gallbladder. The results of this cleansing method are truly amazing.
If you’re interested, you can check out Dr. Hilda Clark’s Liver/Gallbladder cleansing protocol here. A similar approach was created by Andreas Moritz; you can find detailed information about his methods in this guide: The Amazing Liver Cleanse -1.
This protocol is particularly helpful for those who have ongoing gallstone problems, as well as for people who have already had their gallbladders removed. It can benefit anyone whose liver isn’t working well (which is almost everyone) and who deals with liver-related issues like fatty liver, cirrhosis, high liver enzymes, high cholesterol and triglycerides, heavy metal or chemical toxicity, gluten intolerance, thyroid problems, and allergies.
Why do I suggest this protocol? Because people with a healthy, clean liver are not likely to get diseases, including cancer. A healthy liver produces clean blood, which is the single most important factor in maintaining good health.

Commonly known as the Liver/Gallbladder Flush, this protocol is designed to remove calcified (gallstones) and non-calcified fat deposits from the liver and gallbladder.
Suggested to be repeated as many as 20 times in every 2-3 week interval, this protocol will restore healthy functions of the liver and gallbladder.
A brief summary of the protocols.
- For five days before Cleansing Day, drink one liter of apple juice each day (or take one tsp of malic acid powder instead).
- Avoid fatty, high-protein meals and sweets during this time.
- The sixth day is The Cleansing Day. Have a light breakfast without fats or proteins. Lunch should be very light, with only fruits or vegetables. Do not eat or drink anything after 2 pm (including water). Chew a slice of lemon if needed.
- 6:00 PM: Mix 4 teaspoons of Epsom salts into 24 oz. of distilled water in a one-pint jar. This makes four servings of 3/4 cup each. Drink the first portion now. To enhance the taste, you can add lemon juice or Vitamin C powder. Some prefer to take Epsom salt in gelatin capsules or premade pills (6 pills) to avoid the taste (Note: The taste is pretty bad, in fact, really horrific.)
- 8:00 PM: Drink the second serving of 3/4 cup of Epsom salts.
- 9:30PM: A lot of loose bowel movements are expected around this time. If there’s no bowel movements, do a warm water enema.
- 9:45PM: Wash grapefruit. Squeeze it and remove pulp. You will need 3/4 cup of juice. Pour the juice and 1/2 glass of olive oil into a pint jar. Close the jar tightly and shake hard until the solution becomes watery.
- 10:00PM: Stand next to your bed (do not sit down) and drink the concoction straight (If necessary, use straws.)
- LIE DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Lie down on the right side and curl up in a fetal position. Do not move and focus on the liver. Try to go to sleep (If one didn’t follow proper preparations, extreme nausea or vomiting can happen.)
- 6:00-6:30AM: Drink the third 3/4 cup of Epsom salts. (If you’re thirsty, drink a glass of warm water before taking the salt drink.) Rest, read, or go back to sleep.
- 8:00-8:30AM: Drink the fourth and last 3/4 cup of Epsom salts
- 10:00-10:30AM: You may drink fruit juice at this time. A half-hour later, you may eat one or two pieces of fresh fruit. One hour later you mat eat regular (but light) food.
- Expect a lot of bowel movements. Look for small or medium-size green or tan balls floating on the toilet water surface (Use a colander to collect the stones). Some people just release gallbladder sludges, not stones. As more flushes are performed, more stones will be released.
- Continue to eat light meals for the rest of the day. Liver-friendly foods such as beet juice, lemon water, dandelion tea, and green tea are strongly recommended.
- Enjoy blissfully light feelings and pat yourself for finishing a great job. Consider this flush as a minor surgery without going under knife.
In short, this flush is not for weak-hearted. It takes a strong determination and will power, but the benefits are overwhelming.

(Note 1: Some claim that eating olive oil can cause green stones to form. However, those using almond oil have also passed many green stones. You might feel some discomfort, so it’s important to do your own research and/or consult with healthcare experts.)
(Note 2: During my third liver and gallbladder cleanse, I got out a thumb-sized, bright green gallstone, along with many smaller green and brown fat deposits from my liver and gallbladder. After the cleanse, I felt very light and happy for several days.)
