In my experience, the quickest way to jump out of the jar was to change how I see myself. Even though I valued my meditation practices, true awakening didn’t happen until I viewed myself in a completely different way. I think this is true for everyone.
No matter how much we focus on spirituality (such as non-stop meditation, being mindful, etc.), if we continue to see ourselves only as our bodies and scattered thoughts, it’s almost impossible to escape the world of illusion.
Interestingly, changing our sense of identity becomes quite easy if we observe the nature. The nature makes us to accept:
- First, creation happens continuously in all corners of the universe.
- Second, anything that is created will eventually be destroyed only to be recycled back in a non-stop creation/dissolution process.
- Third, there is the primordial cause of all creation that governs all physical and meta-physical matter.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that some sort of super-intelligent “force” is behind everything happening in the universe, from the birth of new galaxies to how we age.
Since this “force” manages and creates everything, all living beings must carry a fingerprint of this energy within them. This includes humans, butterflies, elephants, planets, galaxies, and everything else in the universe.
This means the Creator is our true essence, because without it, we wouldn’t have been created in the first place.
From this perspective, can we say that we represent the Creator in human form? Can we see every being in the universe as the Creator expressing itself in countless forms?
Recognizing that we are part of the Creator, not just our bodies and traits, is critically important for breaking through our limits. Accepting this belief is a personal choice that requires commitment.
In the beginning, it can be difficult to see ourselves as part of the eternal Creator because we are often stuck in old thinking patterns.
However, it gets easier with practice. When we learn to breathe, act, and feel as extensions of the Creator, new realities begin to open up for us. We soon realize we have been tricked, controlled, and manipulated to see illusions as the truth.
If the world of illusion is “a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing (per Macbeth by W. Shakespeare),” then the real world is full of peace, love, and mysteries.
The joy and calm that come when we jump out of the jar is literally mesmerizing.
